French Immersion Schools in
Salt Lake City & Utah

Utah is the second-largest state in the French Schools USA directory with 36 programs — more than California, New York, or Massachusetts — and every single one is free. There are no private French schools in Utah. The state's network is built entirely through the Utah State Board of Education's Dual Language Immersion (DLI) initiative, launched statewide in 2008: districts apply to participate and commit to building complete K–12 pathways. The result is multiple uninterrupted public sequences from kindergarten through high school.

The 15-school Salt Lake Valley cluster spans three school districts: Granite District (Morningside ES → Churchill JH → Skyline HS), Jordan District (Fox Hollow ES → Sunset Ridge MS → Cooper Hills/Kearns HS), and Canyons District (Butler/Oak Hollow ES → Draper Park MS → Corner Canyons HS). Davis County, just north of Salt Lake City, adds 8 programs across Bountiful, Kaysville, North Salt Lake, and Woods Cross with its own complete pathways.

Utah Valley (Provo/Lehi) contributes 4 programs, and Park City's independent district runs 5 programs from Jeremy Ranch and Trailside Elementaries through Ecker Hill Middle and two high schools (Park City HS and Treasure Mountain HS). Cache Valley and Tooele County add smaller clusters at the edges of the Wasatch Front network.
