This page lists every French immersion and French curriculum school in Seattle and Washington State, all of them private — each with its program type, tuition, enrollment and accreditation. It is one metro area of an independent directory covering 239 schools across 34 US states.
No school in Seattle and Washington State is a dual language program: all of them follow the French national program and are accredited by the French Ministry of Education. The private schools charge from $22,000 to $44,000 a year, averaging about $29,000.
The schools cluster around Puget Sound: the French American School of Puget Sound (FASPS), on Mercer Island with a second, preschool campus in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood, French Immersion School of Washington (FISW) in Bellevue, Les Lilas French Bilingual Community School in Kirkland, and North Seattle French School (NSFS) in Shoreline.
FASPS is the region’s most established institution, serving families from across Greater Seattle and the Eastside suburbs, from 18 months through Grade 8. It is an International Baccalaureate candidate school, preparing the Primary Years Programme (YPK–Grade 5) and the Middle Years Programme (Grades 6–8) for 2027–28, when it also opens an English track in Grade 6. FISW Bellevue fills a natural gap on the east side of Lake Washington for families in Bellevue, Redmond, and Kirkland. NSFS in Shoreline serves North Seattle and Northgate families who would otherwise face a significant commute across the city.
What AEFE homologation, LabelFrancÉducation, the American accreditors and the International Baccalaureate each certify is explained in the guide to accreditations and credentials. For younger children, the Seattle daycare directory covers French daycares and preschools. You can also see every French school in Washington State, or browse the full national directory.
